System Requirements

  • A computer with a DisplayPort 1.2 compatible graphics card. Backward compatible with most DisplayPort 1.1a equipment running current graphics drivers, with the feature set being limited to that of your equipment (e.g. you may be limited to displaying in Clone / Mirror Mode only). Compatibility with older graphics cards is not guaranteed.
  • Maximum supported video resolutions and number of monitors will be dependent upon your graphics card. Check the specifications of your graphics card to determine its capabilities.
  • A monitor with a HDMI port.

Apple OSX note: Macintosh hardware with Thunderbolt connectors supports this MST hardware. OSX does not. If the Macintosh is running Windows under Bootcamp, it works fine because Windows has full control of the hardware. However, Apple OSX does not support MST for two monitors at this time. This means that if the Macintosh is running OSX, you'll only get a pair of mirrored displays and peculiar behaviour. to boot, if the two external monitors are different resolutions. We hope Apple will support MST properly, soon.
