USB 2.0 to Ethernet 100mbps adaptor

Easily connect your MacBook or MacBook Air to an Ethernet network with the USB Ethernet Adapter. Small and light, it connects to the USB 2.0 port of your MacBook Air and provides an RJ-45 connector that supports 10/100BASE-T ethernet.

This adaptor is also an excellent way to add a second ethernet connection to a Mac Mini server. This is needed when the server is providing NAT services or routing from an internal network to an external network or the internet.

Many foreign hotels have no WiFi and only offer Ethernet sockets in their rooms. This adaptor allows you to access the internet from the room, using your MacBook. You can then create an Ad Hoc WiFi network from your MacBook for associates or your iPhone and iPads to use.

Using this ethernet adaptor, you can keep the ThunderBolt (Mini-Displayport) on your Mac free for use with a monitor.
